Crook Opens Below The Mark

Crook opened to a below average response of 35-40%. A few centres in Punjab were good but overall the film could not make a mark at multiplexes or single screens. Saturday and Sunday business will decide its fate.

Do Dooni Chaar opened a very poor response of 10% but has decent reports so should have a better Saturday and Sunday but as opening is so low there will that even a pick up may not relate in good collections unless the jump is very big.

The other releases Bachao and Lava Kusa were very dull with 1-3% openings and have little chance at the box office.

Anjaana Anjaani had a decent first week of 32.50 crore nett but collections on weekdays were not good. The film will make good money for makers due to big prices fetched from satellite and music but theatrically it will be a Above Average/Semi Hit fare with around 23-24 crore distributor share.

Khichdi grossed around 4.25 crore nett in its first week but business was mainly from the Gujarat belt where the film is a hit and performed even better than the much bigger films Anjaana Anjaani and Robot.

Robot could not make much impact with around 10.50 crore nett business in week one. The film did a bit better at select single screens in Maharashtra but overall is poor especially in the the Delhi/Punjab area.

Dabangg added around 6 crore nett approx in week four taking its four week total close to 140 crore nett. ALL TIME BLOCKBUSTER
