M.S. Dhoni - The Untold Story has emerged a HIT as it had another huge day on Saturday of around 18.5-19 crore nett as per early estimates. The weekdays will tell how big a hit the film will emerge. The collections have dropped from day one a little but are still at a very high level and its two day total is around 39 crore nett in its Hindi version. A drop was always on the cards as the film had taken a genuine initial (the second one of 2016 after Sultan) and after such a start and no holidays to support there is always a chance for a drop. 

The problem would have been a drop of 15% or more but here it is minimal and the film should be back on the upward trend again on Sunday. Though as the film is at a high level it may not be the normal big growth that comes on Sunday for this type of film. Many multiplexes in North India managed show growth as business under performed there on Friday so the upside for growth was there. The main falls are in Central India markets which happens on day two and South India due to the huge collections on day one. The film does not have the content which normally does well in South but the cricket factor with Dhoni brand is ensuring big numbers in South.
