Dangal is looking to be the second film to hit 200 crore Worldwide in its first weekend. The first was Sultan earlier this year and though the top are from this year, they are the only films from this year. Dangal has recorded 45 crore more than last years Christmas release and 26 crore more than PK released two years back. The figures are not that much higher than Dhoom 3 which still holds the record for the highest Overseas opening of all time. The final Overseas figures from various markets will come later in the week as it is holiday period and not all screens are reported but on apprx estimates its looking a $9 million extended weekend as it realeased early in many places in Overseas and $8 million over the three day weekend. The film has fared best in US / Canada as Christmas Day is huge for box office there. Below are the top ten Worldwide opening three day weekends.

3. Dhoom 3 - 194 crore

4. Bajrangi Bhaijaan - 187 crore

5. Prem Ratan Dhan Payo - 185 crore

6. Happy New Year - 175 crore

7. PK - 174 crore

8. Chennai Express - 160 crore

9. Dilwale - 145 crore

10. Kick - 126 crore

The extended weekend is easily over 200 crore Worldwide but the three day weekend may be close. This chart will be updated on Wednesday with the final Overseas figures after the holiday period.
