Raees had a strong start in United Kingdom as it grossed £126,000 on its first day which was a working day. The film beat Dangal which released a day earlier as that film grossed £121,000 and also on 152 sites. Raees opened on just 90 sites on Wednesday.
In US / Canada it also took a huge start for a midweek release. The opening day on a non Friday release is only behind Sultan and Prem Ratan Dhan Payo. It also managed to beat Dangal here. The film was released by Zee Studios in the big Overseas markets of US / Canada and United Kingdom.
