Jolly LLB 2 had an average opening of around 25% with North India being a little better but overall the opening is not up to the mark as far as morning shows go. The first Jolly LLB film released in 2013 was successful but not enough that the film became a brand and the audience would run to watch a sequel / series film. The film was banking on the star power of Akshay Kumar but that has not really worked as it probably be one of Akshay Kumars lowest first days in recent times unless there is a big turnaround in the evening. The opening is much lower than Housefull 3, Rustom and in the same range as Airlift but that film picked up very well post the afternoon shows.

The film had pretty high expectations in the industry which were not really commensurate with its theatrical trailer. Jolly LLB 2 looked a small film with a big star and that was where the problem was. The cost of the film may be high but it did not show in the trailer and for the audience there has to be a look for the film. The collections for the film in Mumbai circuit are not good in the morning and that circuit could prove a problem even in the long run. West Bengal is very poor and not even in Kaabil range which had Raees to contend with. The hope for the film will be North India as collections here are slightly better than other parts and the area does sustain well but for that the reports will have to be decent.

The other release Hind Ka Napak Ko Jawab - MSG 2 had a low start barring some centres of Haryana nd Punjab.
