Phillauri has taken a very good opening in East Punjab with collections around 1 crore nett which is almost the same as a big hit like Badrinath Ki Dulhania. Its a huge number for this type of film but has come due to the following of Diljit Dosanjh. The cities in Punjab like Chandigarh, Ludhinana. Jalandhar and Amritsar have collections higher than Badrinath Ki Dulhania and are in the range of the biggest openers in the circuit Jolly LLB 2 and Raees.

Normally East Punjab would be a 12% ratio for this type of content film but here it is but here it is more than double.
