The Punjabi film Manje Bistre is set to be a huge HIT film as it is set to to do very strong weekend business. The film took the third best opening ever in East Punjab just falling a few lakhs short of an all time record. The opening at an all India level was also the third highest ever while in Overseas it set new all time record which enabled the film to have the highest Worldwide GROSS box office ever of over 5 crore. The fact it was Good Friday in Overseas helped to push the film. Even in India the holiday helped a fair amount and a Thursday release which was Vaisakhi could have pushed the film even higher but it was certified very late so could not release on Thursday.

More important than the first day was the second day which showed the film had solid reports as despite doing huge occupancy on day one due to the holiday the film maintained extremely well on day two. After such collections on day one there is always a chance of a fall after a holiday but here it hardly fell 10% with day two doing business at a high level and Sunday may well beat the first day figure.
