Meri Pyaari Bindu and Sarkar 3 both took a dull opening as Bahubali 2 - The Conclusion continued to dominate the box office. Looking at the morning collections its is certain that the third Friday collections Bahubali 2 in Hindi will be more than the combined total of Meri Pyaari Bindu and Sarkar 3. 

Bahubali 2 has more screenings than both films combined and the collections are considerably higher in the morning. Meri Pyaari Bindu has opened in the 15-20% range while Sarkar 3 is 8-10%. The release of the former is mainly limited to multiplexes.

Despite Meri Pyaari Bindu having easily better occupancy in the morning it does not mean than it will get a better first day number as the release of Sarkar 3 is double of Meri Pyaari Bindu. Both films are depending on word of mouth and this is where the restricted release should benefit Meri Pyaari Bindu more as it has more chances to grow over the weekend as so despite this weak opening it can still do something if the growth comes.

Sarkar 3 is in a very poor position with this type of opening. The film is one of those franchises which has no value and only the maker probably thinks its a franchise. The opening tells there is no brand value for the film and despite being the bigger film it will be no surprise if it comes out second best to Meri Pyaari Bindu in long run considering how low the occupancy is on day one.
