Baadshsho has taken the 8th biggest opening day of the year with Ajay Devgn just about getting what a box office star should be able to irrespective of content. There are nine box office stars today (Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, Shahrukh Khan, Akshay Kumar, Ranbir Kapoor, Hrithik Roshan, Varun Dhawan, Ajay Devgn and Ranveer Singh) and most of them have had a release this year barring Aamir Khan and Ranveer Singh.
The disappointments in term of opening have been Ranbir Kapoor and Hrithik Roshan who have failed to put up a double digit number. The Salman Khan and Shahrukh Khan starrers have opened but not to numbers expected by these stars. The stars which have actually met expectations are Akshay Kumar (twice) and Varun Dhawan (could be twice here also with Judwaa 2 coming in a few weeks). Bahubali - The Conclusion being at the top and by a distance shows basically that the Hindi film industry is not making the right cinema.
