The box office results seem to getting worse week by week as Bhoomi is unable to take the opening of even a Simran released last week and Haseena Parkar can't reach the numbers of Daddy which was another underworld film released a couple of weeks back. The collections of Bhoomi and Haseena Parkar are very poor and they did not even pick up much in the evening as 2 and 1.25 crore respectively was what they looked likely to pick up from morning numbers yesterday. Newton is also poor but comparatively it is better as its only released on 300 odd screens. This film is the oscar entry from India so that will help the collections in metros among the English speaking audience as they will show more interest after the entry but this audience is very limited. The core wider audience does not care for the oscars so makes little difference. The opening day collections of the three new Hindi releases are as follows.

Bhoomi - 2 crore nett apprx

Haseena Parkar - 1.25 crore nett apprx

Newton - 85 lakh apprx

Kingsman - The Golden Circle will probably end up ahead of the Hindi films as it picks up a little higher than 2 crore nett. This film also has chances for better growth than Bhoomi so even if the first day is only same as Bhoomi the weekend will be higher for sure.
