The Punjabi film Nikka Zaildar 2 has taken a good opening of over 1.25 crore nett across India with its Punjab numbers standing at 1.20 crore nett. The last film in this franchise has opened to 1 crore nett all India so its a 30% improvement which is a good result. The film has basically collected as much as Haseena Parkar but with just 20-25% of the screens.

The opening is the third best of the year for Punjabi films after Manjhe Bistre and Super Singh. The top five Punjabi opening day collections of 2017 areas follows and the surprises are Vekh Baraatan Chaliyan and Rupinder Gandhi 2 getting over that 1 crore nett mark as the other four are star driven so are likely to take an opening.
