The Telugu film Jai Lava Kusa took the 13th highest opening day of all time at an all India level as it notched up 40 crore (GROSS BOX OFFICE) across the country. GROSS is used when regional films come into the picture due to different taxation. GST coming in has made it a more level playing field but there are still differences so therefore GROSS gives the accurate scenario.
This film is not only the 13th biggest opening of all time but the third highest opening on a national level this year and guess what the top three are TELUGU films Even the fourth is a Telugu film.
