Tumhari Sulu had a low weekend of 12 crore nett apprx with a good jump in business on Saturday. It has managed to do a little better than Begum Jaan which recorded first weekend business of 10.73 crore nett but fared poorly at the box office. The weekend business is a little higher than Hindi Medium and Bareilly Ki Barfi also but those films had trended better on Saturday and Sunday.

The film will be totally depending on the weekday run and the target for these type of films is for the Monday to be around the Friday figure. The business of Tumhari Sulu till date is as follows.

The film is only really collecting in five cities and the problem for the film is that it has under performed in Delhi city and generally not done well in Delhi NCR Punjab belt which hold the key for these high end multiplex films as the high ends in these pockets sustain collections very well. So it will be about Mumbai city and Pune driving this film on the weekdays. The postponement of Padmavati clears the way with no big film in the way for sometime but it has to sustain to get benefit of that.
