Firangi had a low opening of around 15% though collections were a bit better in the Delhi NCR and Punjab regions with aroun 20%. The last Kapil Sharma film had opened to very strong collections of 7.68 crore nett but that film was a comedy and fitted in with the image that the audience has of Kapil Sharma. Firangi is more of a drama and the trailers did not have much comedy which is probably a must for a Kapil Sharma film due to the image created on television.
The film will do better in North and will be dependent on that market as its going to be difficult for this film to make headway in Mumbai and SoutBelow are the admit figures of first shows for Lucknow Central and Firangi with the cinema counts taken from each centre listed next to the city. Lucknow Central was a similar genre and Firangi has opened better than that film but that film did a bit better in evening shows.
