Fukrey Returns collected a very good 8 crore nett on its first day with collections in Delhi / UP and East Punjab being excellent. The youth came in the early shows which was sort of expected as the it is humour for the youth but with the film going to 8 crore nett it seems the older audience and families have also come out in the evening because despite the film opening to good numbers it still looked less than 8 crore nett for day one. This is one of the biggest opening days for a film without any face value, it could even be the biggest ever and thats not counting Bahubali - The Conclusion.

The collections are crazy in East Punjab with 1.10 crore nett as it beats many bigger films like Kabil and Baadshaho and even the Superhit Badrinath Ki Dulhania. Delhi / UP is like East Punjab. It is on course for a strong weekend and looks on course to emerge a HIT film but of course that can only determined by Monday unless Saturday goes crazy and records huge numbers. There is a chance of growth on Saturday even with this big number on day one but not the sort that is expected for a small film as with this opening it goes out of the ranks as a small film. Fukrey Returns may turn out to be that rare film which surpasses expectations and theses films are very few and far between,.
