Q. I have noticed sometime on the website that details are generally different from elsewhere like the article on Shashi Kapoor had Dharamputra releasing in 1962 when everywhere else it said 1961 and its Shashi Kapoor first film when you have some other film as his first film. This is not the first time also as i have seen it before in may articles. Why is this so?
A. The main reason is because the information comes from our own database. The general media will pick up from a Wikipedia, IMDB or some other site with a database and all these will probably be copied from each other so if these are wrong then all will be wrong as no one is doing own research. There are so many details that are wrong out there like date releases and its not about 50 years ago, we get emails that Suhaag and Andaz Apna Apna did not clash as dates elsewhere are probably different and this is just 1994. The details in our database is per collections so it will show exact date of release and which theatres and which territory on which date. As in this case you can be rest assured that Dharamputra did release in 1962 and was not the first release of Shashi Kapoor as Chaar Diwari released 3 months before Dharamputra.

Q. Tiger Zinda Hai is getting diverse opinions and people are saying the opening can be 40 crore and while others say it will be 30 crore or even 20 crore what is your prediction?
A. Its not about what is being said but what actually happens and that will only be known next week. The film is going to open big but a number cant be put it on, only range and even that is a big one which is pointless. The advance starting Sunday will give a clue as to how big it can be. Its the first big release post GST and it remains to be seen where ticket rates settle and how the advance opens. All the films released post GST have not reached the ticket prices of Bahubali - The Conclusion or even Dangal last Christmas. The ticket price can turn a 40 crore opening into 45 crore and also take it down to 35 crore.

Q. What is the reason for Fukrey Returns going so big compared its first film when generally the smaller films find it hard to repeat the first film?
A. Fukrey Returns went more commercial than Fukrey. The first film was more content type and here keeping a similar theme and same characters but a more desi and commercial entertainer. So this meant a wider reach.
