Padmaavat has had a huge hold on its second Friday with collections set to come in the 9.5-10 crore nett range. The drop is very minimal from Thursday and the film should clear 200 crore nett by the end of its second weekend with 169 crore nett on the board already.

The film will be among the highest second Fridays of all time. There are only seven films which have crossed 10 crore nett on their second Fridays and even here a couple of them did it with the help of an holiday. Padmaavat may fall a little short of 10 crore nett but this is without markets like Gujarat, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. The highest second Friday of all time is Bahubali - The Conclusion which grossed close to 20 crore nett.

This huge second Friday number ensures the film will cross 250 crore nett as its a phenomenal trend. Now its about getting Gujarat on board and getting to the 300 crore nett mark. There were negotiations to attempt to screen film in Gujarat and it looked like maybe the it could have been introduced in Gujarat over the weekend but an untoward incident in Gandhinagar meant it was back to square one.

A Gujarat release will make the film a BLOCKBUSTER but it has to happen soon, it will not make a big difference if Gujarat comes in board in the fourth or fifth week.
