The 2016 Hindi film Pink has seen two remakes down South or we can say films which have taken the plot of Pink and taken the films forward according to their local audience. The Tamil version Nerkonda Paarvai released in 2019 and had Ajith who is one of the biggest stars of Tamil Nadu and Telugu version  Vakeel Saab released last week and had one of the biggest stars of Telugu cinema Pawan Kalyan.

Pink out of the three films has the lowest numbers despite being made for the wider Hindi audience (compared to regional films) while both South films found a far bigger audience as they had star power and catered to their local regional audiences. The South films are also not blockbusters despite the crowd pulling stars as the subject itself probably has limited appeal. 

Vakeel Saab is comfortably the best of the three and the only one to go over 100 crore nett and in a pandemic situation. The business of the three films is as follows.
