Shaheen (Akanksha), the comely daughter of dry fruit mogul Aman Khan (Danny Dengzongpa), is in love with Chand (Rahul Bhatt), son of her father’s business manager. The parents approve of their union and plan to marry them off soon. Chand, who is a keen cricketer, leaves with his team to Mumbai to take part in the Raj Kapoor Memorial cricket tournament.
This joyful opportunity turns out to be a trapdoor to hell as a vindictive Shaukat (Mohnish Behl), who is Aman’s nephew, hides RDX in Chand's cricket kit. Chand is nabbed by the cops and his team mates killed in an encounter on their arrival in Mumbai. A much battered Chand too is declared dead.
When the news of the carnage reaches his hometown, the villagers take out their wrath on Chand's helpless parents by turning them out of the village and burning their home. Unable to cope with the trauma, a distraught Shaheen attempts suicide by jumping into the fire raging in Chand's house, but is saved by her father.
A year later she submits to the will of her parents and consents to marry the son of her father's close friend. But two days before the wedding, she learns that Chand is alive and in a jail in Delhi. How she sets out to rescue him forms the crux of the story.
