Kaalidas is a social outcast. He has no family and no one he can call a friend, he lives his life wandering about in his taxi, listening to ghazals and qawwalis. He spends his days drinking up his anguish and searching for meaning in his meaningless existence, most importantly he is looking for love, looking for some one who could rid him of his loneliness.
Yeh Dil Ramta Jogi is a peek into the life of one man, ordinary. He falls in love with almost every girl he meets. He proposes to women wherever he goes, whether a girl at the local grocery store, or the waitress he has been stalking or his own pretty customers. He lives on hope, that one day he will find his love, one day he will find his purpose and one day he will finally be somebody. Maybe even a hero.
A God fearing and a die hard Bruce Lee fan one day he comes across a deaf and dumb beggar dressed as Lord ram and they begin to spend a little time with each other. His life slowly begins to change for the better. Things happen unexpectedly. He is knocking on the doors of love, of fulfilment. But cruel fate is not done and things change very rapidly for Kaalidas. A common man, lost in this big bad world without a purpose, leading a meaningless existence finally finds a purpose, to fight for love.
But does he have what it takes to love, to protect his love and survive to tell the tale?
