Broken Horses has emerged an epic disaster with collections of 60 lakhs nett approx over the weekend. The film is supposedly made for Hollywood and is being reported as an $11 million film by the American Press thought the budget will probably be less.

The film is supposed to lines of the 1989 film Parinda which itself was a flop though did a bit better in Mumbai city. The film will have to score big in North America to reduce the huge losses but when the content of Parinda failed in India, its hardly likely to appeal in the US.

Broken Horses managed to get 3-4 shows at most multiplexes and with occupancies of 0-5% over the weekend its pretty certain that the film will be out of cinemas very fast. To put into perspective how disastrous the collections are is that the domestic lifetime figures will he half of Parinda where the story comes from and that film itself was a flop and a non grosser. Also there is 25 year plus gap in both releases and Broken Horses released on three times more screens.
