Spiderman - The Homecoming has taken a good to decent opening at the box office 30-35% after recording good paid preview collections which should come out at around 2 crore nett. The film opened post 6pm across most major cities in India. The last Spiderman film in 2014 opened to 7.48 crore nett collections while The Amazing Spiderman in 2012 opened to 6.77 crore nett and The Homecoming will be looking to get in that same range but it could fall short.  It is the third best opening for an Hollywood release this year after Fast & Furious 8 and XXX -  Return Of Xander Cage 

The Hindi films Guest Iin London and Mom opened poorly with the Guest Inn London being around 8-10% while Mom opened to around 15-20%. This minor clash will go in the favour of Mom as this content is more for the evening audience and it will increase this lead in the later shows. Mom will have good chances of improving collections on Saturday in the metros. Also the fact that Spiderman - The Homecoming has not taken a huge opening will also help its prospects. Guest Inn London will also be looking for that huge jump on Saturday but with two films ahead in the race and and a low opening level it will have to be some phenomenal jump.
