The year so far has racked up 2259 crore with the September releases giving the best cumulative total of 307 crore. If we compare last year then the business till Diwali was 2001 crore so in these terms there has been growth of around 12% .

But this is because of the Bahubali - The Conclusion factor and this sort of extra film to the normal Hindi film calendar will not come very year. If we take out Bahubali - The Conclusion then the cumulative business is 1749 crore which is 15% less than last year and this is probably the real picture. There is not much chance of reaching last years numbers if we only include Hindi releases which was 2786 crore with 226 releases. The business for the cumulative releases for each month is as follows.

January - 239 crore

February - 162 crore

March - 208 crore

April - 541 crore

May - 185 crore

June - 151 crore

July - 202 crore

August - 257 crore

September - 307 crore (expected)

October - 7 crore (expected till Dilwali releases)
