Raid has scored well on Saturday with a jump in collections of around 35% and will collect around 13 crore nett adding to the 9.75 crore nett on Friday. This takes the total collection of the film to 22.75 crore nett. The trend is good for the film but it needs to follow through on Sunday and then that crucial Monday.
The trend is almost exactly the same as Pad Man which also jumped by the same amount. The only difference is the screen count which is in favour of Raid and on Sunday this higher screen count has to tell and the film has to go ahead of Pad Man. Sunday is the day when that extra screen count can matter with business taking good jumps outside metros.
The key for the film is UP as the film is based there, that market has to out perform which is not happening at the moment. If that market does not do well then its unlikely the film can do in the long run. The jump is there in UP on Saturday but collectiosn should be better. The first two days in UP is Fukrey Returns level and it should be much better.
The growth will come on Saturday but it is a question of how much and then can it show good growth on Sunday. The top Ajay Devgn opening days are as follows.
