Hindi Medium had a phenomenal second day in China with business of $6.25 million and the film is almost close to $10 million already in two days. The total so far in two days is $9.68 million (INR 62 crore) which is just crazy. It was helped by a major Chinese holiday but the numbers are still amazing.
The Chinese distributors really pick the films and the content of Hindi Medium has worked in a big way. The sort of release given to the film meant the distributors were very confident and it has paid off. It would be a good idea for many of the Hindi content films which may not even done well in India especially if urban and female orientated to get the Chinese distributors to have a look. It could be a goldmine which faced the dust in India. This could be the film that really opens the floodgates in China for Hindi cinema.
