Race 3 had an excellent second day of 36 crore nett plus which took its two day total close to 64 crore nett. the second day number is huge but there was potential to be better as Sultan grossed 37.25 crore nett apprx on the same day when taxes and ticket prices were lower. Race 3 is one crore less than Sultan.

There were huge jumps in business in places like UP and Gujarat especially the single screens which at places were 75-80% up. The numbers of the of the film are huge but the test for the film is to come on the weekdays. The upturn in business was around 30% on day two.

The collections of Race 3 for the first two days are as follows

Friday - 27,50,00,000

Saturday - 36,25,00,000

TOTAL - 63,75,00,000

The performance of the film is not as good as Sultan or Bajrangi Bhaijaan if we look at the past Salman Khan Eid films. Tubelight is not compared as that was a dull affair for a Eid release. If we go back to Kick which was 2014 then it is better than that but that film had all its first three days pre Eid.

The film should be able to have another huge day today as the single screen business will hardly drop but multiplexes could feel the pressure. The Overseas business is a huge bonus for the film as Eid has fell correctly for that market and its on course for a huge weekend outside India.
