The business overseas has pretty much shaped up as in India with the same five films occupying the spots in overseas as in India. Padmaavat and Sanju proved to be BLOCKBUSTERS overseas and the HIT films were Race 3, Baaghi 2, Raazi, Veere Di Wedding and Sonu Ke Tito Ki Sweety.
Race 3 had a better performance Overseas than in India as Eid really pushed its numbers in Gulf and United Kingdom. It was a late release in Pakistan otherwise it would probably have hit $15 million. Padmaavat is the second highest grosser ever in the original format at $29 plus. Only Dangal has crossed $30 million in its original format but it was the Christmas period which is huge in overseas so in real value the performance of Padmaavat is better. A $29 million total in with a January release means there is potential of at least $35 million with a Christmas release. Raazi was a SUPER HIT film in US / Canada with $3 million plus and Veere Di Wedding proved a SUPER HIT in United Kingdom with almost £600k.
