Batti Gul Meter Chalu was below the mark in its first weekend though the growth on Sunday was held back by the big India v Pak cricket match. The film grossed 21.50 crore nett in its first weekend which is not good enough. .

The film is very much dependent on a strong hold on Monday and the normal 50% drop will mean the film having little chance at the box office. It has to drop 30-40% but that is a big ask as day one was a partial holiday. The first weekend collections of Batti Gul Meter Chalu are as follows.

Manto had a poor weekend with 2 crore nett apprx and the film failed to show much growth. The film will have to go over its Friday total to have any chance of staying in the theatres in week two but that is unlikely scenario.
