2.0 (Hindi) released on over 4000 screens in its Hindi format and has taken the 8th best opening of the year in terms of occupancy but this has to be taken with a pinch of salt as the holiday factor makes a huge difference. 2.0 (Hindi) is a non holiday opening and that too on a Thursday.
Even in Tamil Nadu its not a holiday so a Thursday releases date is no point but the makers in Chennai go by other things like numerology and its a Rajnikant film so be it Thursday or Friday or Monday it does not matter much in that part of the country..
The holiday factor makes a huge difference as far as Hindi markets as it even pushes up a film like Badaai Ho which would never get a first day audience without a holiday. Thugs Of Hindostan remains number one due to the bumper start it took on the huge Diwali holiday and will remain top unless Zero or Simbaa are at another level.
