The film has set new highs in all regions for a Tamil film be it Hindi markets, Nizam / Andhra, Karnataka or Kerala but it is short in its home market Tamil Nadu. In terms of NETT collections the highest collection of all time in Tamil Nadu is Bahubali - The Conclusion with 126 crore nett but the highest collection for a film from Tamil Cinema is Endhiran with 102 crore nett. The collection of 2.0 is 62 crore nett apprx in eight days. The top NETT collections of all time in Tamil Nadu are as follows.
1. Bahubali - The Conclusion (2017) - 126 crore
2. Endhiran (2010) - 102 crore
3. Sarkar (2018) - 98 crore
4. Mersal (2018) - 97 crore
5. Kabali (2016) - 79 crore
2.0 will get among the top five in Tamil Nadu but it could fall short of Endhiran which is the first film of the series in terms of NETT collections which means the share will also fall short. In GROSS collections it will surpass due to GST and LBT being added in Tamil Nadu in 2017. The 100 crore nett mark could prove elusive in Tamil Nadu though worldwide the business will probably be double of Endhiran.
