Pad Man had a so so opening weekend as it collected around $5.2 million over the first weekend. It has opened better than the last few releases Hichki and Sultan but the collections did not really push up over the weekend as they should.

The screenings were more than Hichki and Sultan but Pad Man managed to get a better average per screening than these two as well as collections. The difference with Hichki is around $1 million but that film had a good trend as the collections on Sunday held up very well.

The only other Akshay Kumar release in China was Toilet Ek Prem Katha which did well in China and was a plus film in China with collections of over $14 million but that sort of number looks a huge ask for Pad Man and target is probably to get to the $10 million mark if it can.
