Kesari took a good opening despite Holi. It is a limited release in the morning with many malls shut due to Holi in the morning and single screens generally do two shows on Holi in Northern and Central India as well as Bihar. Its sometimes just one for the latter. 

There are places which opened like normal in the morning like Ahmedabad and Hyderabad and these have opened to good collections especially for a film which is caters more for North India. The few places which are in the clear in the morning have taken a good start. The film will really get going post 2pm when a morning 20% response goes three times higher. Holi is like a half day but the collections from the afternoon onward make up for the lesser collections in the morning. Some mass areas will release very late in the evening but they should be making up that ground tomorrow.

Despite the late start for in most places it will still have a chance to record the highest opening day of the year so far as the occupancy will be very good in late afternoon and evening shows. The morning occupancy is not the best of 2019 due to Holi but it will be a different story by the end of they day.
