Kalank is the fourth highest weekend of the year after total Dhamaal, Kesari and Gully Boy. The film collected around 42 crore but it should have done around 50-55 crore nett which would have been a good performance and been third on this list. Total Dhamaal and Kesari probably offered more in terms of entertainment but it should have at least topped the Gully Boy but the film is not up to the mark which has led to stumbling collections post the first day.
Total Dhamaal remains the top weekend of the year and it could have one challenge in the form of Tiger Shroff and Student Of The Year 2 before Bharat will for sure take the top spot. Generally the numbers are not that high for the weekend as films struggle to post big first day numbers. The top opening weekends of 2019 till date are as follows.
