Mom recorded a pretty good first weekend in China with collections around $5.95 million including paid previews. It was the 8th highest weekend in china for a Hindi film and it was decent trend as collections did not drop much on Sunday. The weekend trend is better than Pad Man but probably not as good as Hichki which is probably a film in a similar zone.

Monday will tell where this film can go in China and it should hold well enough as that limited drop on Sunday suggests the film should get more than 50% of its Friday figure and might even be able to be around $1 million which would give it a chance of a good run. Even if the film was only to double up from here it would mean a better run in China than India.

Mom collected just a little less than Andhadhun in its first three days and that film went on to be a runaway HIT in China. The opening weekend collections in China are as follows with the number of screenings over the three days in brackets.
