De De Pyaar De collected the sixth highest Monday of the year with the Monday drop being the fourth best after Uri - The Surgical Strike, Luka Chuppi and Badla. Luka Chuppi had a holiday but if we take fair value into account and the Tuesday numbers of that film then the hold of De De Pyaar De is stronger than that film. The drop of De De Pyaar de is 29% and Luka Chuppi would be around 32-33% on fair value.
Some of the bigger films were coming of holidays on day one so the drops are bigger and also the higher the first day collections there is always the chance of a bigger drop on Monday. Uri - The Surgical Strike had a phenomenal Monday as it gained almost 25% on Monday and along with Total Dhamaal it is the only film to top that 10 crore nett mark on Monday. Uri - The Surgical Strike had an extraordinary second Monday at 6.84 crore nett that it would be sixth in the list below.
Below are the top first Monday collections this year with the drop from Friday in brackets.
