The Punjabi film Shaada scored very well in Overseas as it collected around $775,000 from just 125 odd theatres. The film was best in US / Canada where it grossed $500k. 

Kabir Singh grossed $650k in US / Canada but it came from 125 theatres while Shaada was only 60 theatres.  Kabir Singh collected around $1.75 million in Overseas which is a normal Shahid Kapoor opening in Overseas as films like Shandaar and Kaminey did similar numbers. 

The film has not found the appreciation it has in India in Overseas as these type of love stories have less patronage in Overseas markets. Kabir Singh is the sixth best opening Overseas ins 2019 after Bharat, Gully Boy, Kalank, Total Dhamaal and Kesari. The numbers of Kabir Singh and Shadaa in main markets Overseas are as follows.

USA / Canada 

Kabir Singh - $650,000

Kabir Singh - $575,000

In UK, USA / Can and Australia both films have similar collections though Shadaa is on far fewer prints while Gulf does not have a market for Punjabi films. The business of Kabir Singh in Gulf is decent though well below the levels of Shaadaar.
