The Lion King has held very well on Monday with collections in the 7-7.50 crore nett which is a 35% drop from the first day. The huge weekend pointed to a better hold on Monday but it was always likely that kids and family audience which gave it that huge trend was not going to come out in numbers on weekdays. That audience will be back next Saturday and Sunday. The trend is stronger than last weeks Hindi release Super 30 and it should do better numbers than that film.

The Monday numbers are the fourth highest ever for a Hollywood release and basically the film will probably go on to be the fourth highest Hollywood grosser in India. The total collections of the film will be 61 crore nett in four days and the week can go towards the 80 crore nett mark.

The film is a sure shot HIT film and will probably emerge a SUPER HIT film in the final count but that will be decided by the holds in the coming weeks.
