Mission Mangal had the third highest first week total of the year behind Bharat and Kabir Singh. It became the third film to top the 100 crore nett mark in the first week as it grossed 119 crore nett in seven days. In terms of all time figures it is the 22nd highest first week ever beating the likes of Baaghi 2 and Singham Returns. The numbers are also almost 22 crore nett higher than Kesari which also released on a Thursday though it was not a national holiday.
Batla House on the other hand collected 56 crore nett and was just outside the top ten first weeks of the year at number eleven position. It made it fourteen films to go over the 50 crore nett mark in the first seven days in 2019. The film has collected similar to the likes of Manikarnika - Queen Of Jhansi and De De Pyaar De in the first seven days and if the film can do a similar lifetime business to those films it will emerge a HIT film.
The top fifteen first weeks of 2019 are as follows.
