Chhichhore had a slow start of 10-15% and will be depending on the weekend crowd to push the collections. The film was always going to struggle for an initial as the cast is not there and then the music of the film was also weak. The film is from the director of Dangal but that hardly matters to the audience for them to come for the film initially.
The morning collections of the film are lower than the actors last film Kedarnath but that film was a love story and had better music and a bigger canvas but this film could cover ground in the evening as compared with that film. Chhichhore will be relying on the multiplex business solely as single screens are very dull and these will hardly pick and also Saaho continues to dominate the smaller centres.
Its pretty certain the film will show growth on Saturday and the growth on Saturday can even be big as is the trend in recent times but Saturday growth nowadays is about just keeping you in the running and its mainly what happens post the weekend especially for these type of films. Better music could have really made a big difference to this film.
The Hollywood horror film It- Chapter 2 opened to dull collections and is no competition so its only Chhichhore in the race this week though competition will come from holdover Saaho. The film was released on around 1500 cinemas and 2000 plus screens across the country.
