Dream Girl had the ninth highest second weekend of the year with collections of 43.75 crore nett. The film beat weekend numbers of bigger filsm like Kalank, Manikarnika - Queen Of Jhansi and De De Pyaar De and it looks pretty certain that the lifetime numbers of these films will be beaten also unless the films sees big falls on the weekdays which is unlikely.
The collections are more than double of other Ayushmann Khurana release this year Article 15 though that film was a different genre and not as box office friendly as this film. The top film is Bharat at 90 crore nett and the 100 crore nett figure is yet to be hit this year and there are probably just 2-3 films with a chance to get it. There is War and Dabangg 3 and also Housefull 4 but the pre Diwali release of latter probably makes it very difficult for Housefull 4 as better collections will come post Diwali which falls on Sunday. The top twenty opening weekends of 2019 are as follows.
