Marjaawaan did well on day one as it collected around 6.50-7 crore nett as per early estimates. The film scored well in Maharashtra, Gujarat, CP Berar, Nizam, UP and Bihar though collections in the metros were low. The bigger multiplex chains have not been able to collect but smaller multiplexes and single screens have done well especially in mass circuits.

Its a good number for this film though big growth will be hard as a huge ratio of collections are coming from mass centres which dont grow on Saturday. Still the film could be strong on Sunday when these places tend to do well. The film has fetched 15 crore minimum guarantee across India and even with a flat weekend there will be a 10 crore share in the first three days only which means the distributor is certain to be in the black. The big metros multiplexes are low and there is huge potential for these to grow on Saturday but potential does not mean they will grow as the content does seem more for outside metros.

Bala has held well on its second Friday with collections of 3.75 crore nett. The drop is around 20-25% from Thursday and it is looking a good second weekend. The collections of the film so far are around 73 crore nett and the film should cross the 100 crore nett mark.
