Marjaawaan had a drop in collections in week two as it collected around 7.25 crore nett taking its two week business to 44.50 crore nett. The drop in the second week is 80% which is on the higher side. The film has managed decent business in some of the smaller circuits but a 50 crore nett total does seem hard to reach especially if it repeats the second week drop. 

 

 

The plus is that the film film has worked better than recent Siddharth Malhotra films and the budget is not huge so sattellite and digital will take it over the line but that is the case with practically every major film barring a rare Pagalpanti. Bala did pretty well in week three with collections of 11 crore nett but films like Chhichhore and Dream Girl were crossing the 20 crore nett mark in week three and that is the difference between Bala and those films as they had more appreciation from a similar multiplex audience so sustained better. Still Bala will do around 110 crore nett and is a SUPER HIT film thanks to the strong first five day and low costs. It is the eighth biggest HIT of the year after Kabir Singh, War, Uri - The Surgical Strike, Housefull 4, Mission Mangal, Chhichhore and Dream Girl.
