Commando 3 collected around 4.50 crore nett apprx on day one which is a similar number to the last film which collected 4.50 crore nett. The film could get higher collections of the last film if the final collections from Mumbai and East come in higher.

The collections are reasonable in the context of the box office today for these type of films but at the end of the day the collections have not improved from the last film. Also looking at the demographics of where the collections have come from there is unlikely to be much growth on the second day. The plus is that it could be more than the last Commando film which would give it a better weekend result but that is not saying.

The numbers are also better than the last Vidyut Jammwal which was Junglee and collected 3.2 crore nett. These films are being made due to the solid satellite and digital revenue and the films do actually score after the theatrical release and that is why the franchise has 3 films despite none of them doing at the box office. Some franchises have been made when the first film has not been accepted anywhere. 

The other release Hotel Mumbai collected 1 crore nett apprx and the film was actually dubbed into Hindi, Tamil and Telugu and the results were horrible from these regional versions. The film was much better in English in the metro multiplexes and that will be the only audience for the film.
