Thappad collected a low 8.50 crore nett in its second week though this is better than it looked on Friday due to Holi but post Holi the film pretty much came down to the expected low levels. The film has collected 29.25 crore nett in two weeks and the second week drop is 60% with Holi when these types have to be doing under 50% without a holiday week as they open so low.

The film has beaten the likes of Saand Ki Aankh and Panga and is around 3 crore nett behind Chhapaak which it may reach. But the highest film in this zone was Mardaani 2 with around 45 crore nett which is impossible for Thappad and Mardaani 2 was the only successful film of this lot.
