Chal Mera Putt 2 scored heavily on Sunday as it recorded collections over 1.55 crore nett across India. The collections in East Punjab hit the 1.40 crore nett mark which is phenomenal considering the 50% occupancy rule and still some important cinemas for the market are still shut.

The film saw full houses across Punjab on Sunday (on allowed occupancy) and the film was hitting near capacity levels at all the key properties. The weekend collections of the film were almost 3.75 crore nett which is more than initial weekend when it released in March 2020. It was heading towards a 4.75 crore nett weekend then so to do 3.75 crore nett nearly 18 months later with the restrictions is an outstanding result.

Its pretty sure that without these restrictions and all cinemas open it would have gone over the 4.75 crore nett. The film has also recorded unbelievable numbers in Overseas with records in UK and Canada. There is a holiday in India and UK on Monday to give the film a further boost.
