The Punjab market continues to collect well even with the 50% cap rule as Punjabi films bring in the audience. Yaar Anmulle Returns opened last week and managed decent numbers with over 1.50 crore nett in week one and decent holds from Monday onward.

 

 

Chal Mera Putt 2 is a blockbuster film as it crosses the 15 crore nett mark in India while in Overseas it became the highest grossing Punjabi film and the first to cross $4 million. The film has made the $5 million mark a possibility for Punjabi films when all markets are normal. There will be a major release on Thursday with Qismat 2 and its looking set for a good advance even though the film is more towards a drama than rather than the blockbuster genre for Punjabi films comedy.
