Tadap has done well on day one as it collects in the 4 crore nett range which is a good number considering no face value and a new cast. The first day number is also good considering what the releases of last week did which had more face value. A Satyameva Jayate did 3 crore nett while Antim - The Final Truth with a Salman Khan cameo did 4.75 crore nett.

Tadap also has been released on less screens as the multiplex release is mainly one screen with the bigger ones getting 2 screens. The plus for the film is a youth love story for the college going crowd and this meant good footfalls in the morning and the film maintained well throughout the day.

This is a solid result for the film and it remains to be seen how it goes from here. Saturday growth would be good though even if flat it is okay but Sunday has to show solid growth.

Antim - The Final Truth has seen a drop on day eight as collections look likely to be in the 1.25-1.50 crore nett range. This is mainly as Tadap is competitive where it was doing well and there has been a big release in Andhra which meant drops on Thursday in Andhra. The drop looks to be 30-35% on the second Friday from Thursday.
