Gangubai Kathiawadi has emerged a HIT film as it records excellent collections on Monday morning and should comfortably go over the 6.50 crore nett mark and maybe even 7 crore nett. The holds are superb in Mumbai circuit and Central India markets and evening shows in Delhi city will also give Delhi / UP a super strong hold. It will be the second BOX OFFICE HIT in the last years with Sooryavanshi being the other one.

There is a holiday tomorrow and this should push collections higher in the evening in the multiplexes which may well take the film to the 7 crore nett but that remains to be seen and even if a little less its a great hold The drop on Monday is looking to be around 30% which is excellent for a film which opened at almost 10 crore nett.

The strong weekend was good but the Monday hold is what the industry needs and Gangubai Kathiawadi has done that and it kicks of the theatrical business of the Hindi film industry on a very good note. No doubt business is not like it was before the pandemic but the Monday numbers prove that the audiences will come out even on the weekdays if the content is good and more filsm are released it will get better.
