Jayeshbhai Jordaar could not manage to do much on Sunday as it picked dup another 4.50-4.75 crore nett meaning the weekend stayed a little under 12 crore nett. The weekend collections of the film stayed in the range of the likes of Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui, Jersey and Runway 34.
The Sunday numbers mean there is not much hope going forward for the film as it will be impossible for the film to go anywhere near its Friday number. The film will be another setback for Ranveer Singh after the big budget disaster of 83 at the fag end of last year. That film had insane losses but here the film will be in the black thanks to digital but while 83 faced outright rejection, Jayeshbhai Jordaar was not even given a chance by the public as hardly anyone came to watch.
But Ranveer Singh will be back in the race with Cirkus this year as that should be a good film or at least far better than the likes of 83 and Jayeshbhai Jordaar so is sure to find an audience. The first weekend numbers of Jayeshbhai Jordaar are as follows.
The film has fared poorly across the board with Mumbai circuit being better than the rest but that hardly matters in the final count. The two day business of Jayeshbhai Jordaar is as follows.
Friday - 3,00,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 4,00,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 4,75,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 11,75,00,000 apprx
