Drishyam 2 is on course to emerge a huge HIT as it shows of around 40% on Saturday to collect around 20.5-21 crore nett. The growth is pretty insane for a film that opened so well but the momentum that started on Thursday is continuing on Saturday.

The collections in Gujarat / Saurashtra look up more than the national average from a very good start so with this circuit which sustains so well working at this level  then a HIT film is a formality. All it needs is Monday to confirm and there bookings there for Monday which means it will sustain just remains to be seen at what level.

The growth on Saturday is fantastic all over and that includes North and east which would have been the tougher markets for this genre proved by Drishyam (2015) not doing well at all in these places. There are circuits like Rajasthan and CI also showing huge jumps on Saturday which is rare and these circuits had good day one collections. The sky is the limit for this film now and if Sunday was to jump 25-30% or more it could go anywhere.

The two day collections of the film will be 36 crore nett and the film is now looking at a possible 60 crore nett plus weekend which only Brahmastra and Sooryavanshi have crossed post pandemic. The film is a huge boost to the Hindi film industry as it proves that the box office still has scope outside event and mass films.
